The Outsiders: Poem

Author's Note: This is a response explaining why the poem relates to The Outsiders. Please give feedback on organization.

Nothing Gold Can Stay.

In the Outsiders, I think that some of the kids are growing up too fast. The Gold refers to childhood. Darry has to take care of Soda and Ponyboy because his parents died. Some of the other gang members have to take care of themselves because either their parents died or don't care. That's how the poem relates to The Outsiders.
